Dalam ilmu statistika salah satu asumsi klasik analisis regresi bisa diketahui melalui autokorelasi residual yang bisa diamati melalui uji hipotesis dengan tabel Durbin Watson. Autokorelasi sendiri merupakan korelasi antar observasi yang diusur berdasarkan waktu.
Umumnya, autokorelasi terjadi pada data runtun waktu atau time series, dimana pada data cross sectional (tidak runtun waktu) autokorelasi tidak relevan. Selain itu, terdapat 2 jenis autokorelasi yaitu positif serta negatif.
Di dalam uji autokorelasi ini, digunakan tabel pembanding bernama Durbin Watson. Berikut ini pembahasan rinci terkait pengertian, fungsi, rumus, cara membaca, hingga contoh soal autokorelasi dengan menggunakan tabel Durbin Watson.
Pengertian Tabel Durbin Watson
Dalam ilmu statistika, tabel durbin watson adalah suatu tabel pembanding yang digunakan dalam uji deteksi autokorelasi. Di ilmu statistik sendiri, uji Durbin Watson merupakan sebuah tes untuk mendeteksi terjadinya autokorelasi pada nilai residual dari sebuah analisis regresi.
Artinya, uji ini berfungsi mendeteksi adanya prediction error dari analisis regresi. Adapun autokorelasi sendidi secara sederhana berarti hubungan antara nilai-nilai yang dipisahkan satu sama lain dengan jeda waktu tertentu.
Metode uji ini diberni nama Durbin Watson sebab dikemukakan oleh James Durbin dan Geoffrey Watson. Dalam pengujian ini, nilainya akan selalu berada pada range antara 0 sampai 4.
Dimana nilai 2,0 menunjukkan tidak terdeteksi autokorelasi dalam sampel dan nilai 0 hingga kurang dari 2 menunjukkan autokorelasi positif. Adapun nilai 2 sampai 4 mengidentifikasikan adanya autokorelasi negatif.
Dalam statistika, uji ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat apakah ada korelasi antara satu periode analisa dengan periode sebelumnya. Secara sederhana yaitu dimaksudkan untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya pengaruh antara variabel bebas data dengan variabel terikatnya.

Adapun tabel durbin watson berikut merupakan tabel DW dengan alpha (α) = 5%. Dimana Simbol ‘k’ merupakan banyaknya variabel bebas (tidak termasuk variabel terikat), dan Simbol ‘n’ merupakan banyaknya observasi.

Rumus Durbin Watson
Uji deteksi autokorelasi menggunakan tabel Durbin Watson atau tabel DW memiliki hipotesis yang bisa disimpulkan. Adapun hipotesis dari uji deteksi autokorelasi menggunakan metode uji ini adalah sebagai berikut:
H0 = tidak terdapat autokorelasi
H1 = terdapat autokorelasi
Untuk menganalisis suatu data menggunakan tabel DW, diperlukan persamaan statistik uji. Adapun persamaan terhadap statistik uji yang digunakan adalah sebagai berikut:

- et = residual pada pengamatan ke-t
- n = banyaknya data dalam analisis (jumlah elemen dalam sampel)
Dengan menggunakan pendekatan dari rumus/persamaan yang sama, uji DW bisa dilakukan menggunakan berbagai software statistik. Berikut beberapa cara menghitungnya melalui beberapa program pengolahan data statistika:
- R (R Analytics), perhitungannya terdapat pada lmtest package dan car package.
- MATLAB, bisa diakses melalui fungsi dwtest yang terdapat pada statistics toolbox.
- Mathematica, bisa diakses dalam opsi LinearModelFit function.
- SAS, dapat dihitung melalui opsi yang muncul ketika menggunakan proc mode dan ketika menggunakan prog reg.
- Eviews, dapat otomatis dihitung saat melakukan regresi ols.
- Microsoft Excel, bisa dihitung secara otomatis dengan menggunakan formula “=SUMXMY2(x_array,y_array)/SUMSQ(array)”.
- SPSS, perhitungannya termasuk dalam opsi dalam fungsi regresi.
Cara Membaca Tabel Durbin Watson
Setelah mengetahui definisi serta rumus yang terkait, saatnya mengetahui cara membaca tabelnya. Agar dapat membaca tabel DW, berikut beberapa komponen yang wajib diketahui di dalam tabelnya:
- T = jumlah sampel (n), yaitu banyaknya sampel yang ada dalam analisis dan berada pada kolom pertama di tabelnya.
- Jumlah variabel (k), yaitu menunjukkan banyaknya variabel atau predictor, baik itu variabel independen ataupun variabel bebas di dalam analisis regresi tersebut.
- dL, batas bawah DW.
- dU, batas atas DW.
Setelah statistik ujinya diperoleh, langkah selanjutnya yaitu membaca tabel DW untuk membandingkan hasilnya. Berikut cara membaca dan cara menyimpulkan deteksi autokorelasi berdasarkan nilai DW pada tabelnya:
- Apabila nilai DW terletak antara batas atas atau upper bound (du) dan (4 – du), maka koefisien autokorelasinya sama dengan nol (tidak ada autokorelasi).
- Apabila nilai DW lebih rendah daripada batas bawah atau lower bound (dl), maka koefisien autokorelasinya lebih besar daripada nol (ada autokorelasi positif).
- Apabila nilai DW lebih besar daripada (4 – dl), maka koefisien autokorelasinya lebih kecil daripada nol (ada autokorelasi negatif).
- Apabila nilai DW terletak di antara batas atas (du) dan batas bawah (dl) ada DW terletak antara (4 – du) dan (4 – dl), maka hasilnya tidak dapat disimpulkan.
- Apabila nilai DW terletak antara (4-du) dan (4 – dl), maka itu berarti hasilnya tidak dapat disimpulkan.
Contoh Autokorelasi Menggunakan Tabel Durbin Watson
Contoh kasus, misalnya dilakukan uji regresi linear berganda dengan adanya 2 variabel indpenden serta 1 variabel dependen. Jumlah sampelnya adalah sebanyak 50 dan diperoleh hasil DW hitungan sebesar d = 2,010.
Dari data di atas, maka diketahui nilai T = 50 dan k = 3. Selanjutnya pada tabel DW, carilah nilai dL dan dU pada T = 50 dan k = 3. Sehingga diperoleh dL = 1,46246 dan dU = 1,62833 dengan d = 2,010.
Oleh karena itu, pertama-tama hitung terlebih dahulu nilai 4 – d, yaitu sama dengan 4 – 2,010 = 1,990. Kemudian, cara menentukan atau kriteria uji autokorelasinya yaitu sebagai berikut.
- Deteksi autokorelasi positif: jika Jika d < dL maka terdapat autokorelasi positif, jika d > dU maka tidak terdapat autokorelasi positif, dan jika dL < d < dU maka pengujian tidak meyakinkan atau tidak dapat disimpulkan.
- Deteksi autokorelasi negatif: jika (4 – d) < dL maka terdapat autokorelasi negatif, jika (4 – d) > dU maka tidak terdapat autokorelasi negatif, dan jika dL < (4 – d) < dU maka pengujian tidak meyakinkan atau tidak dapat disimpulkan.
Berdasarkan data pada contoh di atas, maka bisa disimpulkan deteksi autokorelasinya. Berikut hasil uji deteksi autokorelasinya baik positif maupun negatif:
- Deteksi autokorelasi positif
- Jika 2,010 < 1,46246 maka artinya terdapat autokorelasi positif (Salah).
- Jika 2,010 > 1,62833 maka artinya tidak terdapat autokorelasi positif (Benar).
- Jika 1,46246 < 2,010 < 1,62833 maka artinya pengujian tidak meyakinkan atau tidak dapat disimpulkan (Salah).
- Maksudnya, karena DW: 2,010 > DU: 1,62833, maka artinya tidak terdapat autokorelasi positif.
- Deteksi autokorelasi negatif
- Jika 1,990 < 1,46246 maka artinya terdapat autokorelasi negatif (Salah).
- Jika 1,990 > 1,62833 maka artinya tidak terdapat autokorelasi negatif (Benar).
- Jika 1,46246 < 1,990 < 1,62833 maka artinya pengujian tidak meyakinkan atau tidak dapat disimpulkan (Salah).
- Maksudnya, karena 4-DW: 2,010 yaitu 1,990 > DU: 1,62833, maka tidak terdapat autokorelasi negatif.
Berdasarkan analisis di atas bisa disimpulkan bahwa pada analisis regresi tersebut tidak terdapat autokorelasi baik itu positif maupun negatif.
